Event Image
Hainault forest nature detectives. A mission in the forest!

We are looking for aspiring detectives between the ages of six and twelve to embark on adventures in the forest to look for clues around the forest using our famous discovery packs and some short exercises to test their expertise in problem solving!

We will combine these discovery walks with some exercises to test the skills and ability of our nature detectives.

The meeting point is the Woodland Trust Visitor Centre, located just beyond the second car park in Hainault Forest.

Booking in advance is essential. Tickets are £3 per child (free for accompanying adults). Please email [email protected] to book your space.

Please note: Wear suitable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather. We also advise bringing water and snacks, as we are walking for two hours through a remote part of the woods.walks are across uneven, unsurfaced ground and are not suitable for wheelchairs. The pathways can become muddy after rain. We will be walking at a steady pace for over two hours, with some hills.

There is a large car park at the Fox Burrow Road entrance, which is close to the visitor centre on Fox Burrow Road, Chigwell, IG7 4QL. Please be aware this is a pay-and-display car park.
