Summer Tree ID

Event Image
Summer is a great time to get to know the many trees that make up ancient woodland. Join us for a walk and talk to discuss tree ID and how to spot key indicators of different ancient woodland species with some simple identification techniques.

Come away knowing your oak from your hornbeam, and your birch from your beech!

We'll be meeting at the Woodland Trust Visitor Centre (W3W: cowboy.enjoy.bets).

Places are limited, and booking is essential. Email [email protected] to book your place.

  • Price: £5. Any donations to support the management of our woodlands are welcome.

  • Location: meet at the visitor centre.

  • Access: pathways could be muddy and rutted so we advise appropriate shoes. There is no access for wheelchairs from the visitor centre but access could be opened from the Camelot car park. If there is demand from a group of wheelchair users then an event could start from the Camelot car park and be routed along the hardcore pathway leading to the cattle field.

  • Parking: you can park for free in the Common car park (what3words: truly.tune.pulse) or you can pay to park in the Redbridge car park (what3words: snap.palace.nets).

  • Dogs: well-behaved dogs welcome on a lead.
