Our Forest School programme at Hainault Forest will run for 6 consecutive weeks on Sunday afternoons. Open to children aged 6-10 years old, Forest School inspires children to connect to nature through sensory exploration, games and learning.
This child-led programme will take place outdoors in all weathers (unless deemed dangerous by us). Activities will be chosen based on the children’s interests and skills, this could include; scavenger hunts, den building, natural crafts, tool use and campfires.
We will provide all materials and equipment for these sessions, please ensure you and your child come suitably dressed to spend 2 hours outdoors.
Your child will need:
- Waterproofs – not just showerproof (all-in-one suits are ideal, or coat and trousers)
- Wellington boots or waterproof walking boots
- Spare clothes
- Water bottle (& any snacks – nut free please)
