Dug out using people power back in the early 1900s, the lake now attracts all kinds of water birds. Take some time to see how many you can spot. Some are here all year round, and others drop by for the winter months.

Fishing is available on the lake for most of the year.
Closed season is 15 March to 15 June.
Day tickets are now available from the 1856 Café.
Charges
Day tickets (7am – 7pm) cost £16 for adults, and £10 for seniors, juniors & leisure pass holders. These can be purchased by popping into the 1856 Café.
