As the winter season settles in, Hainault Forest becomes a place for festive cheer and seasonal fun. This year, the forest is offering so much to do! Visit the Christmas Market, take your kids to the Woodland Trust visitor centre for some woodland-inspired crafts, learn how to make a beautiful wreath, and discover the traditions of Winter Solstice with TinderSticks. Hainault Forest Christmas Market
Visit the Hainault Forest from 2-3 December, 10:00-4:00pm for a magical market experience featuring local businesses stalls in a wonderful barn setting. Enjoy delicious seasonal treats in at the cosy 1856 Café and explore Christmas crafting at our craft units. Christmas music will fill the air for a delightful winter celebration.
Christmas Craft Weekends
Craft your winter woodland-inspired creations every weekend from the 2 – 17 December at the Woodland Trust Visitor Centre! From pine-cone animals to woodland baubles, discover a new nature-themed project weekly. No bookings required – just drop in between 10:30am-12:30am for a 20- minute craft session. All supplies provided for festive fun!
Woodland Wreath Workshop
Get creative and join our fabulously festive wreath-making workshop running on Saturday 16 December! We’ll supply all the woodland materials – pinecones, berries, conifer branches, and more for you to craft a unique wreath for you to hang on your door this holiday season!
Forest Explorers
Welcome to Forest Explorers, a bushcraft program ran by TinderSticks for 6–11-year-olds! Join us at Hainault Forest to boost your outdoor skills whilst having fun. On Thursday 21 December, enjoy a warm drink around the fire, make festive decorations from nature, and discover the magic of the Winter Solstice celebration!
Wild Adventures
Welcome to Wild Adventures, a bushcraft program ran by TinderSticks for 12–18 year-olds, boost your outdoor skills whilst having fun at Hainault Forest. Join us Thursday 21 December for the Winter Solstice to cast your hopes and dreams into the fire on our yule log. Explore Solstice traditions and the year’s rebirth as we create festive decorations among the wintery woods!
