Hainault Forest secures a spot in the top 10 for the People’s Choice Awards 2024

We’re delighted to announce that Hainault Forest has once again made it into the top 10 parks across the UK in the Keep Britain Tidy People’s Choice Awards 2024! A huge thank you to everyone who took part and voted for us, and to our staff and volunteers for their dedication and hard work in preserving this thriving greenspace and making it into what it is today.

Over 21,000 people took part in voting for their favourite Green Flag Park as part of the annual People’s Choice Awards, and for the second time Hainault Forest made it into the top ten.

Hainault Forest is among nine parks in Redbridge recognised with the prestigious Green Flag Award, which celebrates parks that are well-kept, accessible, biodiverse, and valued by their communities. Judged by a panel of experts, the award sets the standard for the management of outdoor recreational spaces across the UK and around the world.

Following a £7 million redevelopment of the facilities, Hainault Forest has continued to deliver a range of fun, engaging events across the forest, visitor centre, and farm. These activities aim to inspire people to spend more time in nature, appreciate, and learn more about it. The addition of the craft courtyard offers a creative space where visitors of all ages can have fun, explore their artistic side and pick up new skills during their visit.

Hainault Forest’s continued recognition in the Keep Britain Tidy People’s Choice Awards highlights our commitment to providing a high-quality, accessible, and vibrant green space for the community.
