Phase one launch

In 2019, Hainault Forest was awarded National Lottery Heritage Funding alongside grants from London Borough of Redbridge and the Greater London Authority to restore and revitalise Hainault Forest. Over £7m has been invested to re-develop this magnificent landscape, including transforming the derelict Victorian barns, revitalising the visitor experience at the farm, safeguarding the site’s ecology and natural habitats and to develop an extensive programme of activities and volunteering opportunities to connect visitors to the magic of the forest. Vision RCL and London Borough of Redbridge are now working in partnership with the Woodland Trust to ensure Hainault Forest is an inspiring and welcoming space, for now and for the future. As part of the new visitor complex, the Woodland Trust is opening it’s very first visitor centre; providing a warm welcome to all those wanting to discover what the forest has to offer. We are delighted to announce that Phase One of the project is now completed.
